Katie T. Kurtzman has over a decade of book publicity experience with top New York City-based publishing houses including Simon & Schuster, Penguin Young Readers, and Henry Holt. Most recently, she assumed a directorial role at literary powerhouse Farrar, Straus & Giroux. Active in the literary community, she is the Publicity Director for Littsburgh: Celebrating Literary Pittsburgh, and has written for Pittsburgh Magazine, Literary Hub, and Electric Literature.
Katie specializes in booking media and organizing events for a wide range of titles and genres including literary fiction, mystery, politics, cookbooks, history, memoir, and children’s books. With KTK Publicity, she develops creative and results-driven publicity campaigns focusing on media outreach and placement, and event planning. She has worked with a variety of publishers including Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, HarperCollins, Turner Publishing, Amazon Publishing, Catapult, and Restless Books.
